Recent projects as Musical Director / Arranger include: Passport to Pimlico, a site-specific, actor/musician piece based on the well-known film; Back to Before, a song cycle based on the work of Ahrens and Flaherty at ArtsEd; Cinderella at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage; the national tour of Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance for Jordan Productions; Ex at the Soho Theatre; and Chess at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
Alongside collaborator Olivia Thompson, Chris composed the score for new musical Before The Night Is Through, a workshop production of which was produced at the Landor Theatre in 2013. He has also contributed compositions to productions of The Baltimore Waltz for Lucky Stuff Productions and The Crucible at the Karamel Club for Mountview.
An experienced educator and facilitator in Musical Theatre training, Chris has taught at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA), London School of Musical Theatre, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, Trinity Laban, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London Studio Centre, The Actors Centre and Rose Bruford College. He was Head of Music at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts under the directorship of Paul Sabey and has also been an external examiner at Chichester University and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
